No air conditioning in guest rooms!!! The hotel’s dated furniture needs an upgrade to match the cool mountain setting better.

The hotel offers a charming experience with friendly staff and clean, spacious rooms that feel modern. However, meals must be booked in advance and dining options are quite limited. The location is quiet, but the uphill walk from the station can be challenging at times.

easy access to beautiful parks and art museums nearby
I appreciated the superb service from the staff who were always kind and made me feel welcomed. Being so close to the Hakone Open-Air Museum and Hakone Gora Park made my weekend strolls a delight as I explored stunning art installations and enjoyed nature's tranquility. the rooms were really modern and spacious which suited my solo travels quite well and added to a wonderful experience, but the lack of air conditioning in the guest rooms was a bit uncomfortable.

Ideal for those seeking peace and relaxation
The onsen was very nice, after a long day of wandering, soaking in those hot springs was just what I needed! Another highlight was the staff, who were genuinely attentive, offering a free shuttle service that saved me from a tiring uphill walk!
It wasn’t exactly wallet-friendly, but I think it was acceptable for the experience I had.

The onsen was a chill vibe, perfect for unwinding after a long day of exploring. Also, big shoutout to the staff who treated me like family—always super welcoming! Plus, I had delicious meals at the hotel restaurant, making dining easy when options around were limited.
The hotel felt a bit dated, which was a bummer since it lacked some of the fresh vibe you'd expect.

The staff offered exceptional service, always greeting me and remembering my name, making me feel welcome. The outdoor hot spring bath was a highlight, providing a relaxing experience with its soothing cloudy white water. However, breakfast choices were quite limited and the lobby appeared somewhat dated, lacking the charm found in the updated rooms. The small windows in the room did not take full advantage of the beautiful mountain vista.

I stayed in a Superior Twin Room for two nights. The room was clean, modern, and surprisingly spacious. It had a comfy bed and a nice sofa, which made it easy to relax. The windows were a bit small, though, so the views were kinda limited. Overall, it felt recently updated and well-equipped, which was a pleasant surprise! Just wish it had a desk for my stuff.

The outdoor hot spring bath was a unique experience, offering a very relaxing soak with fine views. Our family appreciated the spacious room, and the shuttle service made exploring the area with our baby super convenient.
My wife says that a children's play area would be great.

missingWrote a review on Jun 05clean roomgreat onsenhelpful shuttlelimited dininghilly terrain
The room was clean and spacious, with a modern feel despite the older building. The bed was comfortable and made for a good night's sleep. Enjoyed the complementary shuttle service from Gora station. it was prompt which made getting to the hotel hassle-free. The outdoor onsen was a highlight, clean and relaxing. Staff were attentive and welcoming, making me feel at home. However, dining options in the area are limited, making it necessary to plan meals ahead. Breakfast could improve with more variety. having the same options every day got a bit repetitive. The walk back from the Gora station is challenging, especially after dining out, given the hilly terrain. More flexibility in shuttle hours could also enhance the experience, as it only operated from 9 am to 6 pm, limiting options for evening outings.
